We collect your personal data when you interact with us or with our services, or when you use our Sites and applications to place or process an order. We also monitor the way visitors use our Sites, in order to help us improve our services and optimise our customer experience. We collect data: When you create an account or change the settings of that account. When you place an order or during the processing of that order (payment and delivery). When you authorise us to contact you by email, telephone, post, messaging or via our online chat to send you the content of our promotional campaigns, or to invite you to take part in surveys relating to our services or those of our partners. When you contact us directly by email, telephone, post, messaging or via our online chat. When you browse and use our Sites (before and after creating an account). We also collect information from third-party sites, such as advertising platforms and our fraud detection service provider.
As part of our commitment to protecting the data of our customers and, more generally, that of the visitors to our Sites, we want to be transparent about the information we collect. When you visit our Sites or request a service on KounHany.com, we ask you to provide information about yourself: your name, your telephone number, your email address and your delivery address or your location. We also collect information about how you use our Sites and when you post messages on our Sites or when you contact us or send us comments, by email, post, telephone or online chat. If you contact us by telephone, your call may be recorded for training and service-improvement purposes, and we will take notes in connection with your call. We collect technical information from your mobile device or your computer, for example about its operating system, the type of device and connection used, and the IP address from which you access our Sites. To ensure the security of all our customers who prefer to pay by card, bank card details are never collected automatically or stored on our servers or in our databases. Card payments on our Sites are processed directly by CMI, the long-established payment acquirer and market leader in Morocco. Founded in 2004, it is the trusted partner of Moroccan merchants.
We will only process the data we collect about you when there is a reason to do so. For example: to provide you with access to the relevant parts of the Sites; to provide you with the services you have requested; to contact you where necessary regarding us; to resolve any problems relating to your orders. We also process your data where we have a legitimate interest in doing so, for example to personalise our service (processing of data that makes the ordering procedure easier and faster). We have listed these reasons below: to improve the efficiency and quality of our services; to personalise the content that we, our partner garages, breakdown-service providers or advertisers offer you. For example, to offer you the garages/breakdown-service providers located in your area, or to make sure we show you the advertising most relevant to you, based on characteristics we have defined; to enable our customer support team to help you as effectively as possible if you have questions or complaints; to contact you to obtain your reviews and comments on our products and services or those of our partners, and to inform you of any significant change or development affecting our Sites or our services (to let you know that our services are available in a new area, if you have asked to be informed); to send you information by post or email about our products, services and promotions (if you do not wish to receive them, you can let us know via the “Contact” section); to analyse your activity on our Sites in order to manage, support, improve or develop our business, for statistical and analytical purposes, and to help us prevent fraudulent activities; to enforce the contract between us as well as any other agreement, in order to exercise and protect the rights of Hany & Zen, through the KounHany site service, of partner garages, couriers and breakdown-service providers, or others (including fraud prevention). If you submit comments about our Sites and our services, we may use them on our Sites as well as on any commercial or advertising material. For this purpose, we will identify you only by your first name and your city of residence. If you have chosen to receive our push notifications through our mobile application, we may send you push notifications about the services you have requested from us, or to give you information about our services and our offers. You can decide at any time to stop receiving push notifications from us by changing your preferences on your mobile device. We also analyse data concerning your use of our services, based on your location data, in order to create a profile for you. This means that we make certain assumptions about what may interest you and use them, for example, to send you tailored marketing communications, to present you with services that we believe would interest you more, or to inform you of our special offers or products that may interest you. This type of processing is known as profiling. You have certain rights regarding this type of processing. Please refer to the “Your rights” section below for more information. Where we are legally required to do so, we may use your data to create a history of your orders and to comply with any legal obligation or regulatory requirement to which we may be subject.
